Person first. Sport second.

This is the first Sonni-ism that I heard in 2010. Since then, Sonni has been my coach, mentor, training partner, & boss. He's approached each of those roles with that same message every time: A simple dedication to the process that emphasized character and personal development through sport.

As a young athlete, he tempered my aggressive 'need to win' into a growth-minded pursuit of excellence. As a coach, it's guided me to keep sight of the more important 'development of the person' in those athlete's that I coach.

I consider it a huge honor and blessing to have worked--& continue working--with Coach Sonni. And I couldn't recommend him enough as a fantastic coach & person."
